DESCRIPTION: EPW - Moulinie & Legrandroy, Genève, quarter-hour repeater, 52mm, heavy 18K gold original HC with exquisite blue enameled initials to front, "Chas S. Suydam" engraved inside rear, small Jurgensen-style lips, signed gold cuvette bearing attributes, white enamel SS dial, gold hands, SW-pin-set, fully capped lever escapement with counterpoise, 23-27J, wolf's tooth winding, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#35506 to cuvette. Comes with its original fitted wooden box with sticker to its underside bearing correctly matched case serial number as well as an additional serial number which is not found among visible surfaces of watch. Gross weight of assembled watch 81.7 dwt (127.1 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, repeat function with correct hour strike returns but quarter-hour returns are advancing to next interval about 4 minutes in advance of index with minute hand, good repeat tone, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, few micro-fine scratches, repeat mechanism cock with a small dark spot; flawless dial; excellent hands; case shows hardly any wear, small nick to upper-right shoulder of front, no dents, excellent engine turning detail with only some mild reduction to portions of shoulders, blue enamel is virtually fully intact with only some surface scratches and very small flakes, case front and rear opening slightly short of 90 degrees (to approximately 85 degrees); tight bow, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal; box in excellent overall condition showing light wear, some cracking and flaking to lid veneer.
